An old barn was converted into a one-family home. The central part of the building has an external front typical of the Engadine rural character, but was redesigned with a façade through which its interior spatiality can be clearly perceived: the bedrooms in fact overlook a part of the living room which rises to a double-height ceiling. The ground floor contains a living/dining room, the first floor has two bedrooms and located on the second floor is a bedroom with en suite bathroom. The slightly recessed lateral block contains the kitchen, a wc and a storeroom on the ground floor, plus two bathrooms for the night zone on the first floor. The pillar-and-beam frame is all in larch, in accordance with local building custom, and fits harmoniously into the existing outer shell.
