The area of Schulbergstrasse is situated in a very crucial point of the city as well because it is located in the centre of a logistic circulation as well because it is on the top of the hill that dominates the landscape from all the directions. As a consequence the building cannot be conceived as a normal conventional project with a front and a back, with a main facade and some other secondary ones: it has to be a building with a facade that runs homogeneously all around spreading the view all over. The use of a basement with its autonomous shape allows an optimal assimilation to the difficult topography.The so called “trunk building” has been created from a natural evocation and the unusual shape allows a very efficient use of the interior together with an unique, strong, unforgettable symbolic value.
